Disciplines at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering granted scientific categories A and B+

We are delighted to announce that following the evaluation of higher education institutions the Minister of Science and Higher Education has granted Bialystok University of Technology scientific category A in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering and category B+ in the discipline of Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The decision granting scientific categories results from the evaluation of quality of scientific activity of universities and research institutes carried out on the basis of the Law on Higher Education and Science and covering the period 2017-2021.

In the process of evaluation, disciplines may be granted A+, A, B+, B or C category.

The criteria taken in consideration are as follows:

• scientific or artistic level of the conducted activity,
• financial results of scientific research and development work,
• impact of scientific activity on the functioning of society and economy.

We would like to congratulate and thank all the staff, doctoral students and students of the Faculty for their contribution to the research activities, thanks to which we were granted high categories and retain the right to award doctoral and postdoctoral degrees.
